None! We'll teach you from the ground up. You don't need a portfolio, you don't need to be great at drawing, and prior 3D experience is not a necessity.

These are online group lessons. Each cohort can have up to 30 students in the class. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, type questions in the group chat, and ask for feedback in the Discord.

Blender i(https://www.blender.org/)s a free and open source software that powers professional feature-length films such as Next Gen (https://youtu.be/uf3ALGKgpGU)(which your professor animated on). It competes strongly with (and often out-performs) professional paid 3D software such as Autodesk Maya and 3D Studio Max. Blender is quick to install, quick to open, and runs on al most all computers (not just expensive workstations and gaming PCs). Blender won't cost you anything and doesn't have a license that will expire after our course is done, it's yours forever.

We will be using Blender LTS 3.3 (https://www.blender.org/download/lts/3-3/) Blender lists their minimum hardware requirements as: • 64-bit quad core CPU with SSE2 support • 8 GB RAM Full HD display Mouse, trackpad, or pen+tablet • Graphics card with 2 GB RAM, OpenGL 4.3 You must be running one of these Operating Systems: • Windows 8.1, 10, or 11 • macOS 10.13 or higher • Linux distributions using glibc 2.28 or newer You cannot run Blender on your iPad or Android Tablet You cannot run Blender on ChromeOS* In my personal experience, Blender will likely run on any computer or laptop less than 5 years old (and often even older than that). If you're concerned, it may be worth downloading Blender LTS 3.3 and running it on your machine before enrolling. *There is a complicated work-around (https://youtu.be/b6HJjXXH4dk)for ChromeOS but it is absolutely not user-friendly

Classes occur weekly via Google Meets. Check the website or your email to get the link to our class this week.

Each class will be recorded and shared (ideally within 48 hours) after class has ended. Only students will be able to view the recordings. Class recordings will be available for 3 months after the semester has ended and may be deleted from our Google Drive afterwards. You may not be able to access them 3 months after the end of your semester. Please save the Google Drive links for access once your 12 week plan has ended.

We can fully refund your payment up to 2 weeks before our first class. If you're paying monthly, you may cancel and will no longer be charged for your remaining tuition.
